COMMUNITY

At September High School, we believe we have a way of building relationships with teens that strongly supports their growth. Our whole reason for being is to try to have this kind of positive impact on as many teens as we can, and to support parents and other adults in developing the tools to have this kind of impact too. In short, we want to benefit our community.

The After Hours Arts program is a good example of how we do this, enabling us to bring our approach to a greater number of students. Our parent support groups are discussions that aim to train people in how to use the tools that we have found so successful in working with teens. And our service learning courses create tangible benefits for the community while instilling a commitment to volunteer work in our students.

We would like to invite you to get involved with the September High School community. People build connections with the school in so many different ways. We hope you'll find a way that suits you.

You could:

  • Come to one of our parent support / discussion groups which are free and open to the public. To check out the calendar of dates and topics, click here.
  • Come to one of our public events. All of our performances, the school graduation, and many fundraisers are open to the public. See the public calendar.
  • Read about the latest happenings at the school in the monthly parent newsletters.
  • And if you are an alumni or wish you were, you can swap contact info.

You are also welcome to stop by the school and say hi any time. And if you've never been here before, we'll be happy to show you around.
